I’m Emma Counsell, a picture book author and watercolour artist. I’m a graduate of the Australian Writers’ Centre and hold an Undergraduate Certificate in Fine Art from Curtin University. I love creating stories for young readers.
When I’m not writing or painting, I work as a background and commercial actor — briefly stepping into other people’s stories. I live on the Gold Coast, Australia, with my husband, two spirited children, and my father, where creativity (and a little chaos) fills our days.
